Need to Get Rid of Bedbugs? Bedbug control can be very expensive, but it is better than getting eaten by tiny bugs...
Guide to bug removal techniques
"Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite" is something my mom used to say back when people thought that these pests were eradicated, but it turns out that they have come back with a vengeance. In New York, Chicago, Denver, LA, and other cities, bedbugs have made a comeback that is driving tourists away from hotels and public places. People are getting bedbug bites which can be painful and itchy.
How do you control bedbugs? Ever since DDT was banned, people have been looking at other pesticides to do this. You can get results by using heaters to raise the room temperature, but need to be sure you don't have anything valuable in your room that might get melted, cracked, or warped by the temperatures, and this includes the structural elements of your house. In more recent news, bedbugs have been found in dorm rooms on campuses nationwide, and even in new dorms, motels, hotels, and casinos. While there was a much bigger bedbug epidemic back in 2011, bedbugs are still making their way around the country, and can recur at a moment's notice, so if you have the symptoms of a bedbug infestation it is the perfect time to get new sheets and bedding.
Notes and Special Information
Special note: No matter how good your bedbug control regimen is, they can keep coming back if they thrive somewhere else in your building, or people bring them to your house. It would probably be bad form to ask your overnight guests to shower in rubbing alcohol prior to their visit, considering that it would dry their skin, make them flammable, and the bedbugs would still be in their clothes anyway so they will be hard to stop unless you happen to live in the Wildfire Lab from the Andromeda Strain movie.
